Today is the day. After months of development, countless tests in mosques, and a long beta phase, moschee.io is officially available in version 1.0.
moschee.io is an all-in-one platform that helps mosques in Germany and Europe establish a digital presence, reach their members, and organize everyday mosque operations — without technical knowledge, without their own IT infrastructure.
What is moschee.io?
Many mosques face the same challenge: they want to provide their members with up-to-date information, offer simultaneous translation, announce events, share prayer times — but the digital tools needed for this are either too expensive, too complicated, or simply not tailored to the needs of a mosque.
moschee.io closes exactly this gap. The platform was built from the ground up for mosques: with the right features, in the right languages, at a fair price.
What moschee.io can do today
Livestreaming & Translation
Friday prayers, lectures, community events — with the integrated livestreaming system, mosques can broadcast transmissions directly via moschee.io. For professional setups, NDI is supported, allowing camera systems to be easily integrated.
A special feature is the audio translation system: simultaneous interpreters can translate broadcasts into other languages in real time — listeners simply select their preferred language and hear the translation directly through the app.
Some mosques have built their own solutions over time — FM transmitters/FM radios, two-part Friday sermons, or expensive Sennheiser solutions.
That ends now, because the solution we provide is the most affordable and efficient one, as visitors already bring a smartphone with their own headphones and simply turn on the app.
Prayer Times — Precise, Reliable, Visible Everywhere
The heart of every mosque: prayer times.
moschee.io manages prayer and Iqama times and displays them for members in the app. We also generate prayer calendars for every month at the push of a button, and Ramadan calendars can be individually created.
There are several options for creating prayer times to ensure flexibility. You can configure prayer times for the year using well-known calculation methods, or you can also edit prayer times completely manually or import them from CSV/Excel.
Of course, we are also aware that many mosques use Mawaqit and wish to continue doing so — which is why we have set up the Mawaqit integration, and it automatically synchronizes them via Mawaqit on request, with all settings still manageable in Mawaqit.
Your Own Website — Without a Single Line of Code
With the page builder, every mosque creates its own website via drag & drop. Ready-made building blocks — texts, images, galleries, maps, videos, event calendars and more — can be freely combined and arranged. The result is a fully functional, mobile-optimized website that is immediately online.
If you have your own domain (e.g., www.my-mosque.com), you can connect it directly to your site via the dashboard. Setup takes just a few minutes.
For special occasions, there is the prayer calendar and the Ramadan calendar — as print-ready PDFs with Iftar and Suhur times, ideal for posting or distributing to mosque members.
News & Events
Mosques can write and publish posts and announcements directly in the dashboard — with images, categories, and SEO settings. Events automatically appear in the calendar on the website and can also be embedded on external sites.
As soon as something is published, all members who have the app installed automatically receive a push notification on their smartphone.
The Mobile App
The moschee.io app is available for iOS and Android. Mosque members can use it to:

- Follow livestreams and listen to translations
- Receive push notifications

Teamwork with Roles & Permissions
In many mosques, several people share administrative tasks. The role system allows you to define exactly who can access which areas — who can change prayer times, who edits the website, who publishes posts. This allows administrators to maintain oversight without having to do every step themselves.
Who is moschee.io for?
moschee.io is aimed at mosques of all sizes — from the small mosque with volunteer helpers to the large mosque with a dedicated team. The platform is designed to be usable without IT knowledge. Anyone who can operate a smartphone can use moschee.io.
The interface is available in German, English, French, Turkish, and Arabic.
The Road to 1.0
What is being released today as version 1.0 is the result of an iterative process. The first public version (0.1) went online in November 2025 — back then with core features and a small group of test mosques.
In the following months, new features were added step by step, always in close exchange with real mosques: the blog system, Stripe billing, page builder 2.0, roles & permissions, push notifications, prayer calendar, custom domains — and finally all the refinements that make version 1.0 what it is.
Version 1.0 does not mean that development is complete. It means that the platform is stable, complete, and ready for production use.
